Programming
Full-Year 2024-2025
Full-Year All Star Cheer @ Cheer UP is our highest-level programming. The program starts in June and continues through the following May and involves athletes ages 5 through 18. Full-Year athletes typically compete 8-10 times throughout the course of their competition season with some travel involved. If invited to a Post-Season competition, there may be an additional competition at the end of the year. Full-Year athletes have (2) 2-hour practices per week (with an additional 2-hour practice added on occasion if needed) as well as (1) hour of tumble practice.
Placements are typically conducted later on in each May and done on a Private basis thereafter. After the initial Registration Fee, Full-Year Membership fees are monthly fees billed from June through April and encompass all that is needed for the program with the exception of USASF (United States All Star Federation) registration and any travel/accommodation/non-athlete admission costs related to competitions. Once registered for Full-Year, the registered athlete has complete access to unlimited tumble & skill-building classes (excluding Private lessons & specialized clinics) which lasts as long as they are involved in the program. If interested in registering for Full-Year, please reach out to the Cheer UP Office to walk through the details involved.
Monthly membership fee
The monthly membership fee is $287/ month and is paid from June 2023 through April 2024. The monthly membership fee includes: Practice gear, competition uniform, competition music, routine choreography, sneakers, makeup, hair bow, all competition fees, full tuition, unlimited tumbling and skill-building classes, and any applicable crossover fees.
Practices
Practices are held twice a week (Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays) with additional Saturday practices added at various times as we get into the month of September. As our teams approach competition season, they are subject to additional practices if need be. All athletes are also required to take one hour of tumble class each week.
Competitions
8-10 Regular Season Competitions. Comps are a Mixture of Local (RI, MA, & CT) & Travel Comps. 6-8 Local Comps, 2-3 Travel Comps. Up to (2) Additional Post-Season Comps [Summit & US Finals (as applicable)] for Teams that Qualify.
Half-Year Prep
Half-Year All Star Prep Cheer @ Cheer UP can be viewed as a ‘toned-down’ version of our Full-Year Program. Aimed at athletes ages 5-18, the purpose of the Half-Year program is to provide participating athletes a sense of what taking part in All Star Cheer is like, with the exception of competing at “Local” (RI, MA, CT) competitions only, without the “travel” aspect required by the Full-Year program. Half-Year begins in December and concludes in April. Half-Year competes 2-4 times per season. Half-Year athletes have 2-3 practices per week, each lasting 1-1.5 hours as well as also having to put in (1) hour of tumble practice per week.
After the initial Registration Fee, Half-Year Membership fees are monthly fees billed from December through April and encompass all that is needed for the program with the exception of USASF (United States All Star Federation) registration and any non-athlete admission costs related to competitions. Once registered for Half-Year, the registered athlete has complete access to unlimited tumble & skill-building classes (excluding Private lessons & specialized clinics) which lasts as long as they are involved in the program. If interested in registering for Half-Year, please reach out to the Cheer UP Office to walk through the details involved.

FUNdamentals
Our FUNdamentals program @ Cheer UP is our most basic introductory program.
Geared towards beginning athletes aged 4-8, the FUNdamentals program is a terrific way for our youngest of athletes to begin to get acclimated to the sport of All Star Cheer.
The FUNdamentals program has ongoing enrollment and after the initial Registration fee ($150), the cost of the program is $20/week and includes a one-hour practice on Friday evenings, a one-hour tumble class on Sunday mornings, and complete access to unlimited tumble & skill-building classes (excluding Private lessons & specialized clinics) that any participating athlete is age and skill-level eligible for (which lasts as long as they are involved in the program!).
If interested in registering for FUNdamentals, please reach out to the Cheer UP Office to work through the details involved.
What is FUndamentals?
FUNdamentals is a program for athletes ages 4-8 years old. Athletes learn the foundational skills which are required for competitive cheer in a fun setting. Some of these skills are (though not limited to) motions, jumps, stunts, and tumbling.
Classes
The main class is held on Fridays from 5:30pm-6:30pm. The FUNdamentals tumble class is held on Sundays from 10-11am. Once an athlete is registered for the FUNdamentals program, they are able to attend any tumble or skill building classes that they are age eligible for.
Membership Fees
The FUNdamentals registration fee is $150/athlete. The Membership Fee is $20/week/athlete. Again, athletes enrolled in FUNdamentals can participate in any other class the gym offers at no additional cost (as long as it is age/skill level appropriate).
Private Classes
Tumble & Stretch
Class Program
Classes Open to the Public
Our Open Tumble & Stretch Class Program at Cheer UP offers a variety of classes during the week for athletes of all ages and skill levels. The cost is $10/athlete/class. Tumble & Stretch classes run for one hour. A Public Tumble & Stretch class schedule can be found on our website or on one of our social media platforms. Athletes should register online for the class they are interested in attending and can reach out to the Office with any class-related questions. Each participating athlete is required to have an up-to-date waiver on file that is completed online via the Cheer UP waiver platform as well as an account set up on Cheer UP’s Gym Management system.
Gym Rentals
If you are looking to find some space for your school or town cheer team to practice, our facility may be the perfect place to do so. Gym rental fees are $3/athlete/hour and must be paid in advance the week before the rental is to take place. All athletes whose teams are renting mat space from Cheer UP must have an active, updated waiver on file within the Cheer UP waiver platform. Each organization renting mat space must have a ‘Gym Rental Agreement’ on file with the Cheer UP Office. If interested in renting space, please reach out to the Cheer UP Office to walk through the details involved.
Summer Camp
Summer Camp @ Cheer UP is a 1-week session Camp held at two different times during the Summer (July 15, 2024 – July 19, 2024, & August 12, 2024 – August 16, 2024), where participants take part in a wide variety of activities including Tumble Class, Stunt Class, Stretch Class, Crafts, Team Bonding Activities, and MORE!! The Camp takes place at the Cheer UP facilities and is a SUPER fun way to spend time during the Summer. Camp sessions are Half-Day (8 am-12pm) events and there are both ‘Day’ & ‘Week’ rates available. If interested in learning more about registering for Summer Camp, please reach out to the Cheer UP Office to walk through the details involved.
